The People Behind the Mission
A small, committed team building something that matters.
Meet the Team driving our organization forward
Péju Alawusa brings MyHealthMyLife’s mission to life visually. As a graphic designer, art director, and creative consultant, she specialises in building brands for purpose-driven organisations — the kind that need to feel as credible to a funder as they do welcoming to a teenager in a community centre. Her work at MHML spans everything from digital design to campaign direction, always with the same goal: making complex health messages feel human, accessible, and impossible to ignore.
Aniyah Watkins keeps the organisation running with purpose and precision. As founder of Sustainable Impact Planning and Consulting, she brings a rare combination of strategic clarity and hands-on operational experience to MHML. Her background includes years leading youth-focused initiatives in Washington, D.C., and a Master’s in Nonprofit Management that she applies practically — not theoretically. She is the person who turns big ideas into actual plans.
Déjah Liggins is a Registered Nurse whose entire career has pointed toward one thing: improving outcomes for women and newborns who too often fall through the gaps. With experience as a Birth and Postpartum Doula and in OB-GYN clinical care, she brings a frontline perspective to MHML’s work on maternal health. She is working toward becoming a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and Midwife — and in the meantime, she mentors young people through youth ministry and serves as the organisation’s Secretary with the same care she brings to her patients.
